Sea Shell Macro Photography
For my Christmas gift, I bought myself a "Macro" lens. This is one of the more expensive lenses out there that is not a telephoto lens. One would think, the closer the lens views items, the less the cost should be - the farther and the more internal glass lenses inside, the more costly a lens should be. Sadly, this simply is not the case. 1:1 ratio (macro lenses) range from around $300 to $1000+ depending on how close you want to bend over an object to get a beautiful super magnified image or Macro photography. I decided (after trying out four different levels) that the third level suited me just fine at a mere cost of nearly $800. Now, I'd certainly have taken the most expensive one but logically and financially, I just couldn't do it.
Here are some of the lovely results of using my new macro lens. I discovered that I could shoot more than just 100% absolutely "zoomed" images at a 1:1 ratio. If you stand back a bit, without magnifying your subject to an infinite largeness, you can blur out the background really nicely. Or simply do what Macro lens are intended for, zoom in "really, really" super close to see details that normally, you would never notice otherwise.
First, a collage of the many shots....
Or some of the more beautiful up close photos:

And, I'm loving it.
